For a 2 hour flight? Nebach
It is the only downside for me about this whole game.  I realized how deep I was in yesterday when I was looking for a flight from NYC-TLV and turned down a decent option since one leg was only angle flat, instead I'm likely gonna go with 3 stopovers!

That's your choice. If the 'discomfort' of having to stop 3 times is better for you than having to lay angle flat then go for it.
I generally prefer one stop. But to each their own.

Not a discomfort for me, I enjoy getting out for a day though 3 stops is extreme and I'm looking for other options

Nothing terribly useful there.

More useful would be which currency to use (LM or SQ probably)
And for our crowd, that you can't bring in most foods and there's little to no kosher food to be bought there.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Anyone planning to go? We brought back around 80 CUC (equiv. to $80) that we're trying to get rid of.

You'd save the 10% exchange penalty and the 3% fee on those.

Any way to book with mileage with any partner airlines through Canada or Mexico?

Copa via PTY on *A, Areomexico via MEX or CUN (good luck with availability). Air Canada flies via YUZ and YUL but doesn't allow mileage redemption on those routes.

Apparently Air China flies a 5th freedom route YUL-HAV and back. I checked some random dates and found fares for ~#350 in Y and ~$850 in lie-flat J (773).

Theoretically this should be bookable for 35/60k SQ (UA can't book to HAV).

Cuban visa is included in the price and gets picked up at the gate.
