Add them as an AU. Easy that way..
If they're not au and I need to transfer points immediately. Is there an issue to transfer? Is it possible? Will they possibly shut down acct?

Don't know the risks involved, but if you do it over the phone and tell them the FFN is the same name as Amex account (even though in reality it isn't) it can be done.

People have been shut down for transfers with non matching names. Now ive seen transfers with non matching spg names go through multiple times but by now you couldve added a AU if you didnt make the transfer yet

Do CC's under the same SS always get the same MR account? I want to open an Everyday and close a Green Business and want to ensure my points remain alive.

Yes open first the new account should be linked immediately.
Then you can close the biz green and still keep your MR.
On a different note I whould recommend the Blue Business Plus over the everyday card.

Weird thing actually happened, I got the not eligible for welcome offer pop up on the Everyday, so tried the Everyday Preferred and didn't get the pop up even though I've never had either of those cards.

i ordered something on amazon and add 1 point to take advantage of the 40% off promo. when I log on to my AmEx account I noticed that the entire charge was billed to pay with points.

I chatted with Amazon and they were unable to change the charge the only option offered was to cancel the order which I did not want to do.

I then called Amex and after explaining that I did not want to cancel the order they were able to charge me the amount owed and refunded all of the points
