PSA: There had been very heavy infestation in certain greens like parsley and dill lately.

Most stores in the NY, NJ area who usually sell pre-checked vegetables did not have parsley or dill. GG somehow managed to get the parsley clean, but did not have dill. (They sold it in their soup-mix, but sealed in a special bag.)

Seasons, on the other hand, was the only store that had dill! It's not because their bodek is better than everyone else either.

Do not eat anything from Seasons pre-checked section. DO call the Vaad and ask for an explanation!!

Even they will tell you every place is not the same and depends on the mashgiach (at today they used to). It is obvious that SammyP has some sort of inside info. Take everything with a grain of salt and check it out for yourself. But just to say everything is good doesn’t make it good. Let the Vaad hear rumors and either clarify or fix. This is part of the process of making things as good as possible.

I am not a "rabble rouser". I have a lot of inside information which I do not share. I only shared this to help people avoid serious issurim.

I personally asked a high ranking Vaad mashgiach a short time ago if the checker at Seasons is good. He told me he is "OK, but not for you". I'm not sure what that means though. Does he get the stuff insect free or not?

Why couldn't GG get the Dill clean, but Seasons can? Why did KCL stop allowing the Seasons checked produce to be sold in Lakewood?

As an aside, I cannot understand how stores are allowed to sell products like broccoli and thyme and label them "unchecked". The Vaad and the store owners know some of these items are not-checkable and cannot be made bug-free. Selling these items is directly machshil the rabim and causing people to transgress hundreds of laavim. I asked a Rabbi who is a member of the Vaad why they allow stores to sell these products. He responded sincerely: "They still sell these things?!? We discussed this by a meeting and it was decided the stores have to stop selling them. I will make some phone calls and get back to you." It has been months, and nothing was done.

Instead of attacking me, maybe bring up these issues with your Rov and lets all get this fixed up.

Are you in the know or guessing? I didn't see the ad but to me it sounds silly to start advertising for over a year in advanced. Unless it was a general Bingo ad and they are throwing in 5towns too (like they did on the Route 17 billboard) but this sounds like it was a targeted 5towns ad/flyer.
