In any event, I didn't chap initially that the store is called "Smash Burger" because they literally smash their burgers. I don't understand that concept--the patties are then dry, well-done, and almost crunchy. Maybe there is a marker for that, but I prefer a juicy medium-rare burger, so doubt that I'll be heading back too soon, especially at $18 for a small burger and fries.
either u like it or not, can't argue with taste. but while i love a top shelf medium rare burger from a steakhouse, i also love the thin crispity salty and flavorful burger with fake cheese and that flavor profile too (at a reduced price). i hope u had the fake cheese.

Best/most affordable internet service in the neighborhood?

Anyone use this? Worth it?

https://worryfreeli.com/protection-plans/

I would want this one to cover the boiler, AC, and water heater https://www.homeserve.com/sc/mail/pseg-worryfree-cooling-plans3/products/details?p=17794
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Which neighborhood? This thread covers several, with differing internet providers and service levels.
Here's a good start. Enter your address in this site run by NY: https://mapmybroadband.dps.ny.gov/
When you get the results, post them here. The results appear as a chart showing the available internet providers and speeds they offer. It shows these columns: Provider, Technology, Max Down (Mbps), Max Up (Mbps)

Funny, you say that, I’m at smash right now, and they don’t allow me to order the family combo because it’s busy. Obviously makes no sense since we are able to order all those items separately, but I guess they don’t want to give deals when they have a full house. Does not seem right to me when they have it advertised on their menu and people can be coming in specifically for that deal.
Smash House has quickly become my family's #1 spot, but menu options being unavailable is very common. I've even seen simple things like wings listed as out of stock many times (they are admittedly excellent, but you would think a cheap item like that would never have that issue).

Favorite item is the Philly Cheese Sando. Maybe the best fast food sandwich I've ever had.

I too am typically not a fan of smash style burgers, and generally prefer a good juicy burger (had an omg good one at Bonito 47 yesterday), but Smash House happens to make an excellent one that's not as loosely constructed as some others I've had.

I understand I'm in the minority but I just don't like their cheese. (But I don't think I would like any cheese (real or fake) on my burger.)

Went back to doma for an anniversary, left full and with a bill under $200 (always proud of that).
They had some new interesting apps, particularly liked the garlic steak toast and the beef carpaccio (they did it different than most on top of an interesting cooked potato log and quail egg).
Only miss was the Korean fried short ribs, I didn’t really understand it was basically crispy beef (but it was a bit too chewy) with some sauce to put on and then wrap in some butter lettuce. Wasn’t worth it.
Finished with a Black Sea bass special the Mrs loved.

Went to Five Towns for 28 minutes with 2 friends yesterday on a time crunch schedule.

TR:

-Landed in JFK

-Ordered Portuguese rice bowls from Chimichurri on Uber Eats.

-Ordered onion rings from Crave to be delivered to Chimichurri on Uber Eats.

-Drove from JFK to Patis and picked up the last 2 smores croissants, last 3 chocolate croissants, and the last cookie to bring home. Never understood why they have so little inventory, but happy to see the smores croissants return.

-Drove to Suit Central to pickup a hat box for Rafi using my last $50 in Hat Box Chicago GCs from this deal:
https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=17205.0

-Drove to Chimichurri, met the Uber driver who just pulled up with Crave order, and picked up rice bowls from a guy with a real sour attitude.

Onion rings: 10/10: Incredible.

Rice bowl: 9.5/10: Outstanding.

Did you choose Chimichurri for the food, or proximity to the airport? Don't get me wrong, they have good food (although its a shame that they don't accept Uber Eats promos), but if I had to choose one restaurant from the 5T to try, not sure it would be that one.

Quick delicious food to go and near JFK, what would be better?
Not sure what you mean by not accepting Uber promos. 40% worked fine for there and Crave.

I find the rice in the rice bowl to be too much and like it much better with Quinoa

I've never been able to apply Uber Eats coupons to Chimi. I figured they were excluded from promos for some reason.
