Last night I went to the new restaurant right next door to Mikes Burgers. I forget the name.

It's a fast food smokehouse type place. Same owner as Carlos & Gabbys.

I got the $21 platter where you choose 2 meats/chickens and 2 sides. I got the burnt ends and bulled beef.

Cole slaw and mashed potatoes were pretty good as was the pulled beef.

But the burnt ends....OMG!!! Amazing!! Had a layer of fat that was like butter. Mmmmmm....been dreaming of it all day.

Wasn't a ton of food overall but those burnt ends were 11/10 IMO.

First person I get a positive review from. Interesting.

Many people that have Izzy experience, are comparing it to Greys and dont have the friendliest of things to say about it.  ::)

The place opening where king david was is supposed to be a smoke house. they are significantly delayed because the permits to open a smoke house are supposedly hard to get. If graze opened so quickly, they must be doing something other than real smoking.

Complaints I have heard:

Way too small portion sizes
Side dishes are not good
For take out/fast food > Way too expensive

I had a very meh experience at graze.  It is pretty expensive and nothing I cant do at home.  Comparing to izzy's is just silly, this place doesnt come close.  The best things on the menu that I had (and I tasted almost everything) was the chili, bacon, and the maple chicken.

Thats a pretty vague question but Ill share my opinions.

For nice dairy I like upper crust and coffee bar
fast food: mikes burgers
midrange: Traditions
expensive: Bistro (id rather eat in most manhattan restaurants but if you need to stay local then its a good upscale option)

People like bistro a lot actually. TBH most people say its a lot of fun to just get some cocktails and have a bunch of appetizers.

Traditions is great but Bistro is better than it was a few years ago.

I like it too, just dont think it stands up to many Manhattan restaurants and the prices are just as high if not higher.

I find the prices to be high. The food is good, although the steaks are not nearly as good as many Manhattan restaurants.

Other than bistro and traditions, the only other sit down flieshigs are Chosen and Ahuvas Grill (the one on peninsula). Brasserie Halevi is closed.

Word on the street is that someone is opening a DogHouse-type place by Brasserie Halevi
