Yup, it's called Five Fifty. I haven't been there yet, but it's always packed if that says anything (although most new restuarants have a succesful initial period). I did look at their menu, and it was limited but looked interesting. That was one of their first days open so it may have changed since then.

On a totally unrelated note, Sushi Tokyo really increased their prices. A regular fish three roll combo is $15.95 or so now.

Yup, don't know what they are thinking considering that SC&R and Wok Tov are 2 minutes away, and both offer 3 for 2 rolls, and at the same prices per roll as Sushi Tokyo.

WokTov Sushi does not compare to SC&C or Sushi Tokyo. Its not bad but certainly not in the class of the other two.

Hadn't realized Sushi Tokyo hiked up their prices.

They are very good. People behind the counter are also really friendly and helpful.
One of my favorite "light" rolls is the crunch roll from GG. It has pear in it and is a really good snack.

I didn't know they hiked their prices, but I've been seeing an ad for 3 for the price of 2, I guess that's how they justify it

IMO they should have raised it slowly over time. My family has always been loyal and frequent Sushi Tokyo customers. My kids are gluten free and sushi is one of the few things they can eat out of the house. Tokyo has always been good about cleaning the knives and prep surface to ensure that the food is gluten and sesame free (also have a kid with allergies). Whenever we have gone to SC&R they've been annoying in regards to allergies and gluten free. But with the huge increase in price at Tokyo we are now forced to go to SC&R.

yes, that is annoying. I also dont find them as nice or accommodating as Tokyo. You want spicy mayo, here take this tiny little container that is only 1/4 filled.
That said, their sushi is as good or even a little better than Tokyo.

+100 what the heck is up with that?

Also +100...He stands perched up on that frikkin step behind the cash..almost intimidating to ask him for more sauces. Don't get why he gives me dirty looks when i ask for a 3rd eel and spicy mayo when i order 3 rolls. He assumes i only need for 2 of the rolls? at least fill the tiny containers up..

All that said - DW and my favorite sushi so he still gets the business...ha

Drove by there last night around 8 O'clock. There were people in there doing work.
