True. I've lived in the FTs for the last 7 years. Having grown up in NNJ, I would say the best by far is Chopstix in Teaneck
Best value for $$ is def New Kosher Special in Elizabeth.Best overall is David Chu's in Baltimore.
IMO there is not a big difference between Chinese food. It all pretty much tastes the same everywhere. I go to the cheapest place
definitely not true
Anyone stay at the Long Beach Hotel? Impressions and tips appreciated. Also interested in any ways to get discounted rates (compared to their site).
The benefit of the long beach hotel is that it has a kosher restaurant on location. However, I've eaten there and to be honest it was nothing special. On top of that, the hotel is not even on the beach, it's one or two blocks away. I second the opinion that you're better off at the Allegria.
And just like that - Courtside is closed. That was quick.http://yeahthatskosher.com/2017/03/5-towns-courtside-grill-has-closed-will-reopen-under-new-management/
Under current management. Yes. Re-opening soon though. (Not that I ever enjoyed their food much)
I figured I was gonna get that response. Im pointing out that it was quick for a management/ownership team to go down that quick, especially with a concept that anyone would think would succeed in a place like the 5 towns.
Same with 550. They renovated the store perfectly, teased people with what they had opening for years....Then they served sub par food with average service (I tried it twice and underwhelmed twice).....Don't see a future in that spot.
