Hey,  can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced photographer to take pics of a couple on the beach?  Thanks!

I'm looking for the same thing. Just we're a family of 6 and are ok with taking it in a park, pretty backyard, etc. We spoke to one person and the sitting fee alone was $200. Then you had to pay another $200 for a cd with some pics on it. Seems pretty crazy to me when JC Penny, Portrait People, etc charge less than $50 total (plus there are always deals and groupons to bring the price down even more). But maybe that is the price. Any advice is much appreciated.

$400 seems pretty high, Id shop around. But you are not going to get someone to come take pictures of your family for under $100, probably not under $200 either. Portrait people is different as you go to them and you are getting decent pictures but a good photographer that goes outdoors with you can get phenomenal pictures.

There's a photographer in the area currently running a promotion. Her prices are generally the same as everyone else's. Promo is $125 for a session including all digital images. PM me for info
I wasn't going to say anything because she happens to be a relative of mine and I don't advertise here but I think it'll be helpful for some of you.

You can ask that about any restaurant. If so many fail, why do people still try?

3 partners, They already own a successful place and have been int eh industry for a while now. Menu looks good so lets see what happens. As long as they come out of the gate consistent, they should be OK.

How long does a place have to be popping for the owners to recover their investment?
