Please name one job which pays as little as a Mechaneches with as many hours and work. There is a reason why schools have such a hard time finding good Mechanchos. The work load us tremendous, unappreciated, and the pay is horrible.

And when you say 9/12th of a year, what about Sundays? It must not be easy never having even one day a week to catch up on things. Every seven Sundays is anither qork qeek, but harfer. And are Rabeim's salaries even 9/12th of the other jobs you refer to. I agree there are many people struggling, but this is an entire industry who are underpaid.
also lets start with the rebbeim then if we get anywhere near the same page we can start talking about the women teachers

from my understanding it varies greatly by school and age level... but you tell me what's your perception of average salary

Maybe do some research and it might change your perspective. It might vary. But find out the average.

And woman get treated horrible. The pay is embarrassing. Any lady who teaches does it 100% l'shem Shomayim.

In other industries this would be called discrimination.

That. And the discount they get in tuition.

But can't we talk about the real issues? Like why does Gourmet Glatt in 5T charge 25-50% more on many items than Gourmet Glatt in Boro Park?

Do they get a significant discount? If they would work a different job with less hours and stress, and make the same money they are making now, they would get a significant low-income discount anyways. Unless their husbands bring in a good income. Many women who are in the chinuch business have husbands in the same field. They would get a discount on tuition based on their income anyways.

So it is totally L'shem Shomayim

simply not true in the schools I am aware of the mechanchim pay a flat rate per child that's much lower than most others  even other ppl in kli kodesh fields with serious discounts

and again I am not saying they don't deserve it. and they aren't underpaid or overworked.  I'm an just trying to take the emotion out of it and just talk facts. if you want to compare you need to compare Apple's to Apple's

Look. I'm really not trying to get into an argument here that teachers are or aren't leshem shamayim. But the fact is that many come out way ahead financially while working much less hours and fewer days than in a job in the business world.

Plus many of these yeshivas and BYs don't require much in the qualifications department. So it can often be easier to get a Morah job than something else.

Not accurate. Every school is different, but most schools offer very steep discounts based on income. People will not tell you they are getting those discounts, because it is embarrassing.

And the lady teachers who get paid less do not usually have any special significant tuition benefits either.

Really?!? A not-good Morah lasts maybe one year in today's day and age. Schools have a very hard time finding qualified Morahs to fill positions. Ask any principal. Low-supply, but still embarrassing pay.

They come out way ahead?!? You obviously don't understand the life of those in k'lei Kodesh. Get to know some of them better and get to know how well they are doing financially. Some are making it fine. Many, if not most, struggle horribly.

Exactly my point.

I believe you misunderstood. I meant vs the alternative of working full time, a whole year, for not much pay, and paying "regular tuition" (as in non-faculty rates). Ya know, Like most people.

Exactly my point.

My point too. If they are hard to find and low supplied, why don't they get paid like a professional? If they last the year, and are doing the job right, why don't they get even half of what a Rebbi makes doing the same job?

Very good food, though a bit pricey. Also, not a great place to sit down by
