my water was always discolored until i installed a filter

how much did you pay for the filter and the installation? is all your water really clear? is it drinkable or just for the color?

I don't recall the exact amount. we used cedar plumbing and it was very reasonable.
our water is super clear now (unless filter needs to be changed) we have a 2 stage filter: 5mm sediment filter and 5mm charcoal filter.I still don't drink it but we do cook with it

I change every 6-8 months. I'm thinking about adding another 2 step so I can do 10mm, 5mm and 1mm sediment into a 1mm charcoal so I don't have to change as often. I change myself. About 70 bucks for both
