Went to cork and slice again. Always a great value for date night (total bill with 20% tip 171), but never spectacular (perhaps bc most of the dishes stay the same and they are just always solid). I feel like they don’t go out of the comfort zone like some wierder places like abaita, which is probably smart for their bottom line with the boring audience here.
We were very happy, but I guess I’m complaining bc I’m never in love?
New eggplant balls, a lil too doughy/heavy falafel like, but sauce and cheese were on point,
Tuna tartar was a bigger serving than most places and delicious and the crisps were perfect crunch and also great color.
Tuna blt still the best milchig kosher sandwich I know with excellent fries (used to be $22 for lunch, it’s $35 for dinner and still a great value). Also got new butternut squash ravioli my wife loved but note very small portion (the waiter warned us).
Creme brûlée was nice but not reserve cut back in the day good, could have used some raspberry or fruit flavor added to it.
