When you manage to make learning the daf sound like an insult, it's time to make a serious cheshbon hanefesh. I know you didn't mean it as a bad thing, but your language and tone do not line up with one who considers himself a heiligeh Ben Torah. And before you get uber defensive and find something to crap on me about, I challenge you to read your comments out loud in front of your Daas Torah and see his reaction to your words.

Is there a point and time when somebody could get banned from the forums? I love dialog but at some point, when ever single conversation turns into an argument, bashing, putting members down, talking bad about rabbonim,etc when do the moderators say enough? Am I the only one here with this issue? Could we start another 5towns thread specifically without such material?
I guess if it doesn't happen soon, I could just ignore the this specific thread. It would be a shame though because at times there are some relevant info, especially as a resident in this community but at some point, enough is enough.

Yes, talking bad about people living in a specific city is what I'm referring to. In ח"ח כלל י' סעיף י"ב, he calls an עוון פלילי. (See attached screenshot)
What the specific intent of the post was is not so relevant, if it was written in a way that can easily be construed as an attack an entire community. The fact that he also lives the didn't make a difference (כלל ז סע' ו)

דיבת הארץ refers specifically to the land of א"י, (even if) not referring to the people living in it. For an example, see the story of the meraglim.

Even if this post was לתועלת, he would still need to avoid disparaging the community if the intended תועלות could be brought about in another way without l"h. (כלל י סע' ב)

what the cc calls avon plili is somebody who embarrases the chashuvei hair or the whole city bec. he was upset at them. that has nothing to do with saying theres a problem in a place.by doing that you havent spoken about any specific people.the fact that he lives there means it obvious he doesnt mean the whole city,and the context of the thread also shows that.(if this was said about a yeshiva or chasiddus say so and so chasiddus has a large number of members that attack people in the street that would disparage the ways of that group showing there is something wrong with them that they are producing so many violent people.but if we are discussing a place that has many people unafilliated with each other and therefore ones lacking does not disparage the other,by saying the place has many cheesecake buyers i have spoken about a place and not specific people .similarly to if i would say far rockaway real estate is overpriced )

Every one of these comments is just fueling the fire. If someone here has an axe to grind and slants almost every conversation a certain way leading it back to the same tropes, let it be. The Vaad doesn’t allow deliveries to the airport. There is a new hechsher that allows delivery to the airport but you can only use it, if you’re from out of town. (This is what I understood from the past 15 pages CMIIW)

We have been using them for years. Easy parking, good pricing, quality service.

Over the past few months, their prices have been rising significantly. Their alterations are not very good anymore. We had to have things re-done multiple times. Their shirt cleaning has been horrible. White shirts are coming bacjk with spots they did not have before they went in. Cuffs are coming back discolored.,,

Has anybody else noticed these issues? Any good recommendations for alterations? Shirt cleaning?

For minor alterations and shirts we use American cleaners on peninsula and mill

use them all the time but not for alterations (that goes to sankar at shirtstop)
Haven’t noticed a decrease in quality but will keep my eye out.
