Vacation Plans
« on: October 01, 2013, 05:05:26 PM »
I'm not sure where to post this, so I figured that in General Discussion would be the safest...

Hi All!!

I wanna go to Florida from NY for 7-10 in mid January, I'd like to spend as much as possible using points, following are the points I currently have:
  • SPG - 37,562
  • Chase UR - 36,541
  • Citi TY - 51,444

Using those, what would be the best way for me to book 2 flights a hotel and a car?

P.S. I've never used my points before, and I have no clue which one is better than the other

Thanx in advance!!!

Where in Florida are you going? Miami?

Chase UR transfer to British Airways . With British Airways you can book an American Airlines flights at a good rate if the award ticket is available for the days you need.

With the SPG you can stay at the Westin Ft Lauderdale or 10K a night if it's available.

If tickets are cheap those days by some odd chance you could use the TY points for flights. It MAY be worth it. The same for hotel. And car.

That's one idea.

Better off opening a BA card.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

That will only help me for the future, no? I'm looking for something to do with the points I already have

January is the future.

Yeah, but I doubt that I'll incur enough points/mileage to be able to use it for January...

For 2 people, potentially only one direction, I might want to drive one way. How many points would that be? I have no clue
