T-Mobile Free calls and data in foreign countries including israel

My mom's in Israel now. She has no problem using Vonage to call us and it's crystal clear using data. I assume it's at least 3G as she hasn't complained about anything running slow.

Does she stream music? Just wondering if I'll be able to stream music while in the car with the T-Mobile free data.

If anyone ran a speed test while they were on it I'd be curious to know the results.

No, she doesn't stream music. But if GMaps navigation works I'd imagine streaming music might.

Read through the thread and only saw one persons experience using a t-mobile sim in an unlocked Sprint phone.

The phone mentioned was an iphone. Anyone else try it with a Sprint phone? I'm on the samsung s5 and have used it out of the US with onesimcard

Also, T-Mobile provides a year of unlimited LTE data for free (above the base data rates for a Simple Choice plan) if you're referred to T-Mobile. I don't mean to be a referral hog but if anyone needs a referral to get the free unlimited LTE data send me a PM. It also covers people who have already switched in the last 30 days.

T-Mobile Sim will work in a unlocked  sprint and verizon blackberry. I have used it in the usa for a long time. You will only get on edge but it works

Firsty, I am not talking about vzw.
An older bb yes but any new lte device no. At least that's my experience. Guess I assumed he wasn't using a bb 9930 from years ago.
Sprint iphones and androids won't accept a tmobile sim.

Officially it's limited to 2G, but it really depends where you're gonna be.
Some cities you'll barely get Edge while other places will be at least 3G.

I'm on a half-world trip now using my iPhone 6 on T-Mobile, I've had internet almost everywhere I've been so far but some places just barely enough to load a map, no chance of even getting directions. Even location services failed to load in some places.
For example in Goa, India it was Edge (or less if that's possible) but up in Mumbai there was nice 3G speeds.

Bigger cities have better coverage so you'll get better connection. Smaller cities will be less. Mountainous ranges hardly anything.
I'm currently in Prague and have actual T-Mobile 3G service (in the Palladium mall here there's even a T-mobile store).

Thanks guys. I actually mean the data only plan, like mifi or usb stick. They call it simple choice also. Starts at 20 for 1gb but has a discount if you also have voice lines.
