Sprint s5 won't work with tmobile sim even out of the usa. They only unlock it for non usa sims.

Has nothing to do with unlocking, USA GSM providers use different frequencies than those abroad.
The CDMA phones do not have the USA GSM frequencies.

Not exactly true, a vzw s5 which is fully unlocked would work with a usa tmobile sim in the usa.
Cdma phone now also have full gsm bands included.

vzw lte phones are unlocked so if its newer than the s3 its good

I have a vzw s3 and s5, both will work with a T-Mobile Sim (to a plan set up just for 2 weeks) in Israel and Europe?

S5 will for sure work. S3 will for sure work for voice and sms but data can be a problem. U have to make sure you’re able to create an APN

Just had an iPhone 5 in Lithuania, data, SMS and incoming calls worked fine but couldn't make outgoing calls, got some Lithuanian message... Any ideas why outgoing calls wouldn't work?

if you are out of the US and trying to call the US you need to put a + before dialing.
