getting miles for 1 flight from 2 (or more) alliance partners

I recently flew with delta & after receiving my Skymiles I requested miles on flyingblue, and believe it our not, they credited me! Same was after flying on thrkish and receiving from Aeroplan, I requested also from miles n more & I  got from them too, how come?

Maybe it's not linked up properly w/ the other alliance systems to determine if miles were already awarded.
