+1  wasn't there for quite a while... but from what I remember from my Yeshive years he always had the best chulent and yapchik all week..... and whatever time we went he was always open!

For the 'services' provided the price is OK, I wouldn't call it 'extortion'. It's the legality of the 'services' that's 'problematic'.

mechels had irs issues.. its very sad to see and hear about anyone to go thru something like this....

second the arrests sitch is def a very bad one and will only get worse, i hope the jewish community will stand by these men who are only trying to do good to women who have fallin into the wrong ppl's hands!!

Deffinitly! Everyone is very quick to criticize Rabbonim in cases of an Agunos R"L. It's very sad to see criticism against the efforts to help too.
