I have very strong feelings about someone who is out to save their own skin. He deserves everything he gets but not the family.

But when you're dealing with a shidduch dating system it's all one package. Anyone in the fam messes up, everyone gets messed up.

i dont personally know all the defendants, i do know rabbi w. and mendell e. i am not accusing anyone but with a little knowledge/experience with these fbi stings and political arrest, they are looking for bodies to put in jail it doesnt necessarily  have to be the mastermind behind it. first to talk is treated the best. this guy who pleaded may of realized he was about to be ratted out by the other "reliable" defendants and jumped at the opportunity himself. just a possibility.

Many times someone rattels to save his own skin they usually get them for something else and ultimately get a bunch of years if recall correctly that's what happened to dwek and others it doesn't pay they will lock you up either way

not a justification just normal human nature and evan possibly  halachicly ok. if your choice is rat out or sit in jail, you are right many would sit, but if your choice is get ratted out on or rat the person thats about to do it to you, i dont think you would withstand

thats when there are top guys but in this case there are no top guys no big masterminds running anything, the whole arrest is a waste of time money and effort by our fbi agents that should be spending there taxpayers money doing something more useful than setting up a sting to arrest someone who beats ppl up once every year and a half. there are thousands of ppl getting beaten up everyday there are guys who assault 10 ppl a day, and the fbi is spending time with a guy who assaulted 10 ppl in 15 years. its not the actual crime they are after its more to make a statement, they are happy to put anyone in jail they are trying to show "we control and noone else". just to be clear i am very happy this guy/guys are off the street he is a hooligan thug dressed like a orthodox what he does is against torah law (imo and most prominent rabanim) and sadly caused a lot of mamzairim. not just the ten that he beat up
