Seems like the last Rabbi (DDF'r) pleaded guilty yesterday on only one count of "traveling in interstate commerce to commit an act of violence". Hopefully he got some good deal and we are all praying that he is just sentenced to probation.

Newark, NJ - A Brooklyn man characterized by the FBI as an enforcer has pleaded guilty to taking part in a plan to use violence to force a Jewish man to give his wife a religious divorce.
Sholom Shuchat pleaded guilty in federal court in Newark on Monday to traveling in interstate commerce to commit an act of violence. The crime carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence.

All along, I understood that said defendant was merely a Sofer that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This article claims that he was identified as an "enforcer"... who traveled in interstate commerce to commit an act of violence. Is this false information? Does the AP have the story wrong? What am I missing here?

We can go on and on if everybody thinks their guess is the definite fact and refuses to entertain the possibility that they might be wrong.

Also, mamzer has nothing to do with yiras shamaim.
