+1. They may be mamzerim in the colloquial use of the term, but what has been suggested is that the children of agunos released in this way may be halachic mamzerim.

the men who helped them give the get are tzadikim. in this oilam hafuch we have confused the perps & victims. a man refusing to give a get has no yiras shamayim period.

there is usually more to the story like the wife not allowing him his halachic rights like a fair custosy agreement according to halacha as opposed to the court custody agreement which is almost always in the womans favor and therefore he has full right to not give a get until his halachic rights are fulfilled unlike these reshaim who didn't care if he had such a right or not

I love how everyone on this thread became poskim and deciding who's mamzerim and who's not. If you want to discuss this topic go right ahead but take the halacha aspect out of it, its a complicated sugya and I doubt anyone here is coming with any knowledge in this field.

your equation is correct but not very pracital. being that its not clear in halacha who is right, so each side can argue about whats fair ......

you are missing the point. there are certain circumstances that are black and white and the main issue that is dealt with is does she have a zechus to be tovaih a get, these halachos are pretty clear,thats all that is imp, if she can then there is mitzva leshmoa if not - not, thats where mamzairus comes in.   the technicalities of how the get will be done (costody ,money ect) is a small factor
the reason why they are causing mamzairim is because its very uncommon and unlikely to have a case where she has a zechus to be tovaih a get and he refuses to give. nothing to do with the divorce agreement

She has a right in certain situations but when she is holding something from him she can't say she wants a get which is the case in most "agunah" cases
