this website glitch is just as old as the united.com website, and as @Dan says, they won't ticket PNR without deducting the correct miles.
i doubt this ever worked.
this is the same thing as selecting phone order and never getting the ticket ticketed

Not sure what others are referring to, but my ticket was not an award ticket it was a standard ticket they let me purchase for 0. I also bought trip protection and they charged my cc. Wonder if that will help...
