Mint.com
Mint.com is a free web-based personal financial management service for the US and Canada

Description
Mint's primary service allows users to track bank, credit card, investment, and loan transactions and balances through a single user interface as well as make budgets and goals. In 2009, it was acquired by Intuit

price
Free

Security
Mint asks users to provide both the user names and the passwords to their bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts, which then Mint stores in their databases in a decryptable format. This has raised concerns that if the Mint databases are ever hacked, both user names and passwords would become available to rogue 3rd parties. Some banks support a separate "access code" for read-only access to financial information, which reduces the risk to some degree

I saw mentioned here and in other threads that mint.com is secure because it's 'read only'

it is simply not true;

to clarify:
Mint needs to access your financial accounts read-only since they don't do any transactions.
the user-name and password you provide is decrypt-able since they have to login.
if any hacker hacks their database and gets your user-name and password they can make any transaction they want.
unless
you provide Mint.com with a read only access token.

Note
the accounts don't have to be from 1 person or the same SSN.
if you have one account displayed in multiple accounts you can hide them in settings (Top left accounts)
you can set what category it should be marked in the future by selecting category > expand "Edit detials" > check "Rules"

Mint-Bills
In May 2014, purchased Check

Get alerts when bills are due and easily make payments online.

You would have to edit the transaction to show the split.

For example if you spent 503.95 you would edit the transaction to show 3.95 as a fee and 500 as the transfer(or however you would like to classify it)

on each one?

For each transaction yes.

If you bought 5039.50 you would just separate the 39.50 from the 5000.

Insanely annoying about Mint.com is how it renames transactions without notifying you.

For example, a purchase made at a grocery- Boro Park Foodmart, which shows up in my statements as BP Food, appeared in Mint as BP and was categorized as a Gas & Fuel purchase. Totally messes me up.

I've searched and apparently there's no fix for this...

Agreed but I generally go through all my recent transactions to make sure there were no unauthorized charges and while I do that I double check the categories.

Mint allows you to enter URL if your bank is not on their list. Check made me request a new provider. This was their response

Quote
Dear User,

Thank you for using Check and taking the time to request a new provider.

We often release new providers.  We choose them based on ease of aggregation and popularity of request. Once your requested provider becomes available, you will receive a notice via email.

Ive had that issue too, but I think that if you manually correct the name Mint will learn for next time. (It definitely does for the category, not sure about the transaction name)

We're having temporary problems. Trying again a bit later should do the trick.

What kind of math is this? I got $756 of $800 available credit and I'm nearing my credit limit? Seriously? Mint.com is messed up.

I've been using them since they started and use them to track all my finances. I also use a program called "Checks" which tracks my due dates, you can also pay your bills from there but I dont. I've been very happy with both of them I set up budgets and it lets me know exactly how much I have left to spend in a specific category. Wish it tracked my other bills so I could use only program.

Its always like that on low credit limit accounts. My $500 limit account gets a notice every month i use it even for $5
