Urgent Q.- Checked luggage when getting off in philly

i'm sure this was discussed before i just can't  find it on the forums
on the us airways tickets if you want to skip the toronto leg of the trip and get off in philly can you pick up checked luggage or can you only bring carry on please help me asap thanks very very much

When you land in PHL you will collect your luggage and go through customs. There is nobody standing there afterwards forcing you onto the next flight.

Though they did announce if you skip that last leg you will not get miles for the entire trip.

thanks a lot also flying in let's say cle-phi-telaviv the lady at us air said i won;t have to pick up my luggage in philly and they will put it on tel aviv flight is this true? thanks in advance

Usually you check in at the first airport in your case CLE and you don't see it till TLV.

On your way back, you must take your luggage at the first US airport and check in again.

excellent thanks i have a hour and ten minutes from arrival in philly  till i leave to Israel ....my concern is it won't be enough time for me to to check as early as needed to get on the israel flight....am i wrong?
