I was one of those who never thought any of these "non-fiction" stories are really true. Until I saw the story I submitted in print!
The story is true, minor details were added for reading pleasure...
The story goes like this in a nutshell:
My father bought a ticket to Israel through dansdeals for $550 with a 13 hour stopover in Amsterdam.
On the way to Amsterdam, the plane made an emergency landing in Dublin, Ireland due to engine trouble.
They needed to daven Shachris and were looking for a tenth man to finish the minyan. They canvassed the airport and found an irreligious old man who agreed to be part of the minyan. He said "by the way, it's my father's yahrzeit today and I needed a minyan to say Kaddish for him"
Well, my father and the rest of the minyan popped out of the sky in order for this man to say Kaddish for his father!
