Wow, I learnt something new here - Chagas...
Good to hear

I grew up in a mixed community with Chabad, Chassidish and Litvish families. I never heard that word before afair. Interesting. I will liat.
It's "Chabadspeak" for 'Polish' Chassidim who traditionally put the stress on Avoda of Midos (CHesed, Gevurah Tiferes (ChaGa"S)), as opposed to Chabad Chassidim who put the stress on Avoda of the mind (CHochma, Bina, Da'as (ChaBa"D)).
In other words, non-Chabad Chassidim (?)
There were other non lubavitch Chabad chassidim but none made it past the Nazi era.http://www.jpost.com/Magazine/Judaism/Is-Chabad-Lubavitch
Thanks mods for splitting off this thread.Does anyone know the difference or connection between the nine un nintziger Chassidim and the Malachim?
very interesting. Are any of this Rabbi Aharon Halevi Horowitz's seforim available?
Interesting stuff - one sticks out in particular - the spiritual significance of Dmey P"N (money given to a Rebbe along with a Pidyon), isn't it plain bribery? He goes on to explain it phenomenally.

There still is at least 2 communities (Monsey and Williamsburg) non-Lubavitch Chabad chasidim a/k/a Malachim.
I never heard that term.
Anyone here heard of the ניין און ניינציגער Chassidim?
sounds more like a kiddush club that liked heavy booze
