I applied for one of the Southwest credit cards before the deadline for the companion pass. I got approved. When I received the card no mention of of bonus points or companion pass offer. How do I make sure i qualify?

Someone who needs to pay me a bunch of cash, can I add their bank account and pay off one of my credit cards?

https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/2022/attorney-general-james-warns-debt-collectors-new-state-regulations-banning#:~:text=From%20April%207%2C%202022%2C%20creditors,revive%20the%20time%2Dbarred%20debt.

Quote from: Attorney General Letitia James
Be Aware of New, Shorter Statute of Limitations Applicable to Consumer Debts. From April 7, 2022, creditors cannot sue or make a threat to sue consumers (implicitly or explicitly) on debts that are older than three years, down from six years in most cases. Moreover, any payment a consumer makes after that three-year period cannot be used to revive the time-barred debt.

Am I understanding correctly that any debt from prior to April 7 2019 will essentially be wiped? Would they also be removed from one's credit report?

yes, They can pay your card directly.  I don't think you have to add their account to your card.

No, this just means that they can’t sue you in court past the three year threshold. But that debt can, and most likely will, stay on your credit report for the full seven year period allowed for negative items.

There are rules.  If you've responded and partially paid, they may have more of a right to come after you.  That's why this provision is important.  "Moreover, any payment a consumer makes after that three-year period cannot be used to revive the time-barred debt."
So, Yehuda57, do some research if this is relevant to you.

What credit card is best to get in order to obtain status quickly? Taking 4 flights a week and sick of not having status for upgrades. Preferably American, United or both.

There aren't any credit cards for AA/UA that automatically grant status (unlike Hotel cards where it's possible to get status simply by signing up for a card).

That being said, you can now earn Loyalty Points by spending on an AA card so you could look into those.

What's a better signup bonus for AA:
60k points
or
40k points plus $250 credit on qualifying AA purchases?

I value AA points around 1.5CPP so the extra 20k points is worth roughly ~$300, so that's what I'd do. Plus points are better for booking international business class seats which is what I primarily care about.

What would you do with $250 AA credit?  If it's good for tickets, it's worth something, but if it's for baggage and drinks, I'll bring a carryon and a water bottle to fill in the airport.
The extra 20K points has flexible use.  Depends on the route and schedule, but it may end up saving  you more than $250.

It showed up on a dummy points reservation as deducting the taxes and fees.

That has value.  So the choice seems about equal in value.
But I'd probably go all points anyway.

I'd take the points but it's just about even IMO.

The 40k +250 is also available with the business card if 5/24 is a concern.

Would one be able to open 2 same chase cards (ex: business preferred) under 1 LLC yet different socials (2 partners)?

If I accept Amex’s 20k bonus per AU/employee card add offer, and then cancel main acct 6 months later (passed original year 1 mark)—— will Amex claw back those points?
Basically question is whether or not Amex resets the 12 month clock just like accepting retention offers where if acct is cancelled those retention offer credits will be taken away.

For chase cc application, are there higher chances of approval if you apply in bank, or with the DDMS link?
