Chatting with AMEX to close down an account and move Credit Line to another one, they are saying it's not possible, must leave $1,100 CL on the card I want to close. Any workaround?

Is your balance on the card zero?
I once had a card, I don't remember which bank, that was the issue.

Anyway to get chase to transfer my pending united points to my united act? I met the signup bonus but stays pending until June 14th closing date

You can try changing your statement close date.

Actually Don't do that as it just screwed me.
Closing dates don't take affect until next month, so while they changed the closing date earlier the points are now pending until next months closing date, meaning that my points will be pending now for another 3.5 weeks (total of 8 weeks). And there is no way to "undo" that......

Yes. Balance is $0. Haven't used the card in years. So are you saying that in order to close and transfer entire line my outstanding balance needs to be greater than $0?

No!
If some of your credit line is used, you can't transfer all of it to a different card. So with a 0 balance, IDK why you can't move it all.

Will I get the bonus sign up points when I open the Saphire Reserve if I currently have a Saphire preferred? And do I cancel the preferred card once the reserve is open or just transfer the credit line?

The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products.

Is there a way Canadians can be authorized user on american credit card? Or have an american credit card?

Can an American refer a Canadian to an american card and get referral bonus?
