I have the venture card for a year already. Can I downgrade and apply for a new venture and get the bonus? Or maybe I can even have 2 Venture's at the same time? and is there any limit to how many Cap1 cards you can have?

I believe you can’t have more than 2 cards open at the same time across the whole Cap1 lineup. And I think there is a 2 year wait for new bonus?

I also saw about the 2 card rule online, but does anyone have more experience on that? and from where do you take the 2 year bonus wait info?

Whats the best credit card for Airbnb. On one hand chase Reserve gives 3x however if you need to dispute chase is worthless when it comes to hotels etc. So what is next best option? Any Amex?

Interesting, why do you say that?

If you slept there, you will loose any disputes.
Regardless if the building collapsed, or owner decided to raise the rates at checkout, or bedbug covered mattresses etc.

Gotcha. I wasn't aware of that.

If I close an amex card do I lose the pending points?

Additionally do you retain return protection and extended warranty if you close the account?

The 2/3/4BM method: Open 2 or 3 or 4 different browsers. And/or separate computers, phone etc.
Fill out a different application for different credit cards from the same bank - but  DON'T "SUBMIT" until all are ready to go.
Then press submit on each one as close to the same time as possible.
The idea was for each app to be the 1st and be approved.  and you'll get only 1 credit pull.
Modern use: All apps on the same day use the same credit pull, so a 2BM isn't necessary.
Does it makes it more likely to be approved? IDK.
It's also technically a bit challenging, but doable.  The apps time out.  So fill in part of each one in rotation so each remains active.

is there a card out there that makes sense applying for now that will benefit a vacation in August or it's too late?

You can apply  now.  Spend immediately. some banks - chime in here - award points immediately, some only after the statement closes.
So you can have points in your account in a few weeks.  Plan tickets are likely to be scarce so close to the trip, but maybe hotels you can still get a good buy on. -chime in again?

Got an email from Amex about virtual card numbers, anyone tried it?
https://www.americanexpress.com/en-us/credit-cards/features-benefits/digital-wallets/virtual-card-number/?Extlink=US-Email-VirtualCardNumber-EnrollNow-Gpay-Provisioned

Nice, I've always appreciated this feature from Citi. The one caveat is that it can make doing returns at Brick and Mortar locations difficult (if they ask to verify the last four digits of the card )

Some - 2 pulls. Chase, I think
Some varies, but may be 1 pull.  AMEX, I think.

Better not to, definitely don't make it a pattern.
