Got a check from Amex with explanation.
“Account Ending in: xxxx
We're writing to let you know that we've enclosed a check for your inactive account listed above. What happened
Due to an error, one or more previously active Cards on your account were incorrectly unenrolled from the rewards program.
We've taken care of everything for you
Since your account is no longer active, to make things right, we've issued a check for the value of the points you should have been awarded. Please treat this check as you would a personal check,”

I have no idea what they’re talking about. Maybe an account from years ago, would you deposit the check?.
Unless you clearly know that money isn't coming to you why wouldn't you deposit it?

I had a CC account which is now closed, but I want to make an extended warranty claim and need the full card number. How can I find that if I no longer have the card?

Any access to old statements? Credit reports don't have full numbers.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Yes. This was a Chase ink employee card, so I have the main CC number from the statement, but not the employee card number it was actually purchased on, will that be an issue?

When would be the best time to apply to double/triple dip on the Amex BP?

Beginning, first week?

I would say towards the middle. You want to have time to get in all the credits of year 1 but  since you have only 30 days to cancel you also want more than a few days in Jan of year 3 to get those credits. Then again even after 30 days you can still downgrade and get back most of the AF

Which credit card has a good signup bonus now besides Chase Ink? I live in Israel so I want one without foreign transaction fees. Looking for none or low annual fee and preferably 2% for everyday spending.

Cap1 venture or venture x. Venture fits your description better but if you can utilize the $300 travel credit you might be better served with Venture x. Both offer no foreign transaction fees, 2 points/dollar, and effective annual fees of <$100.

Over the last 5-6 months I created 2 LLCs for 2 different businesses I am working on. One of them gets tons of targeted offers while the other gets nothing. Does anyine know why that might be? I would like to open one up for the one not being targeted.

Can I make cc companies report updated payments to the credit bureaus even in the middle of a cycle because I made a payment on the day that the statement was generating and it didn't report the payment on the statement and I need to have my score raised
This is email I received
We're reaching out with the updated account balance on your American Express® Card ending in

Here's what we found

While we saw that you made a payment of $4,746.16 on 11/23/2023 during the previous billing period, this payment was not reflected on your billing statement with a 11/23/2023 closing date.

Here's what you need to know

Your 11/23/2023 payment has retroactively been applied to that billing period. As of today, 11/24/2023, your outstanding payment obligation is $120.42. You can log in to your account to check the latest amount based on any account activity since then.

You can call AMEX credit bureau department 1800 874 2717, ask them to report your balance mid cycle. And should be updated within 5 days.

When closing a cc is it recommended to transfer the line of credit if you don’t particularly need it, or can too much credit line can be detrimental to future openings?
