Has anyone had success getting a store to change their "description" so that it comes up as the correct category for the Citi Custom Cash card? (It's correct when I use my amex there but on my Citi CC it comes up as "nondurable goods, not elsewhere classifi" so it doesn't count for the 5x bonus points.)

I chatted with Citi and they said that the merchant needs to change their description.

Yes. The delivery service for my grocery store was showing as retail and when I brought it to their attention they switched it

Any reason to keep VentureX? Anything unique to them vs other premium cards? Only thing I see is free benefits for added users. Ye I know it covers itself. But I don’t see that as an answer anymore. Especially since you can use the credit and downgrade so you get an extra 300 vs keeping open.

DO chat up the rep on the phone.  the more they connect with  you, the more they'll extend themselves to help.
