Is the Citi Bank Double Cash back card a good card? It gives 2 points per dollar (when you purchase and when you pay your bill)... DDF approved or not? ;)

I have the card and use it for R$ on categories not covered by other cards. Puts a few good bucks back in the coffers.

It's a cash back card.

I can think of worse things. There are better cards to MS on, though.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Dan considers Freedom points 1.7 cents and this is 2 cents. Isn't that better?
Also, what do you mean about MS spending?

It's a good card for cash back. Some people value cash more than points and for them,  this is good. Even those that prefer points, might use this when there is no bonus catagory

I know what MS stands for, I wanted to know what he meant as to why it isn't good for using it for MS?

If the most a Freedom card point is 1.7 cents shouldn't this be a much better card than the freedom for the non-bonus categories?

There are two reasons a person may want to MS: to hit a spending threshold to get a bonus, or if the MS generates more than it costs. For spending threshold, you're obviously going to do whichever card you need to hit the threshold on. For everyday spending that doesn't have a bonus category over 2%, a 2% card isn't bad. Obviously, you also want to take into account which card offers the best consumer protections, depending on what you're buying. That's the main reason I wouldn't use gift cards to shop, even though i can effectively utilize bonus categories everywhere if i do. For MS for generating points from the spend, you can do better than 2% by utilizing the bonus categories on various cards. You also want to take into account that points are often more valuable than cash back, so you may be better using a 2% points card.

BUMP. I want to know if today is the last day to spend for statements closing in 2015, or  will I have more time.
Thank you.
Today is/was probably the last day. IME, the statement change date kicks in for the next cycle unless your previous statement just closed.
