Applied for a cc in branch, got the pending approval. Banker said he would call in a bit to get put through (said he called for someonen15 min earlier and had 30 minute wait on hold) and would call me later with an update. Haven't heard back. Just curious, how long does this type of app take? Never applied in branch before.

I applied in branch once at least . I called recon on my own and got it approved then called my banker
and told him no need to follow up .  I wouldn't wait for banker .

Don't bankers have better chances with recon though?

1) Is opening a business and a consumer card on the same day from the same bank considered two separate pulls?
2) In general, can I apply for both the consumer United Explorer and the business United explorer if my business is a sole proprietor (and I just opened it this month)?
3) Is it possible to get the Ink Plus UR card as a sole proprietor as I just started my business this month?

I haven't been asked for business documentation.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Chase biz and personal will not get merged.

Get a TIN/EIN for your SP and you'll have better chances with biz cards

All amex merge into one on same day. Chase will be 2 pulls.

Thank you so much! And both the United Explorer Business and Consumer cards can be downgraded to a non AF card correct?

Is this specifically when you have a 5/24 problem, or in general? Because I found Chase to be super easy with Biz apps and I got both mine and DW's Ink when our "businesses" just started. Citi on the other hand was a PITA.

Is the 5/24 rule for UR cards for cards that you applied for and were accepted to? Or just for accepted cards? In the past 4 months, I have been approved for 3 cards and have been denied for 2 cards. I already have two UR cards for a while now (the Freedom which I opened in 2011 and the Sapphire Preferred which I opened in 2012) so I don't know if it helps if you typically have other UR cards already.

They count any new accounts from the past two years that appear on your credit report. They don't have to be Chase accounts, or even credit card accounts for that matter.

I was wondering if someone could help me with choosing my next cc applications...I have a FICO of 781 and I currently have the chase saphire, starwoods, and freedom cards. I had in the past (recently closed) my avios card and Amex gold card. My wife just got the new avios and has the saphire, starwoods, and freedom cards.
My goal is to obtain vacation hotels and flights for free, but if these type of cards are not available I would just sell the points...are there any current good offers out there?

TIA
