If I already have a card from 1 bank (like AMEX) under a specific address, is it risky to apply for a different AMEX with a different address since I'm using the same SS?

Is one for a business?  That would seem normal.

You could say you moved, but you wil probably need to change the address on the first card.

Thanks. I was nervous that by using a new address in the app they might see I had a different address already on file and auto-reject me. I went for it anyway, and yes, I was initially rejected. Reason? Billing address verification. LOL

I've only started the calling (it was an AOR so there are lots of call to make). Barclays said the main reason for denial was that the address didn't match the one on my credit report. So they approved 1 card.

The way I understand it, if it's more than a year since you closed the old one, yes.

Yeah, I'm a genius.
A learning opportunity for all.
Apply with your old address.  Change to new address after approval.

Still learning the ropes with cc's...

I have a new Chase United MileagePlus® Explorer Card with a 2k limit, first ever chase card.

I made a $1300 purchase and then realized that that is utilizing more than half my limit. What are my options?

The charge will only post in a week, should i just cancel?
Should i prepay (i believe this isnt so good to do)?
or should i pay most of it as soon as it posts?

No problem. Just pay off most of it before the statement closes.

I just got approved for a couple cards with large spending thresholds and I have to make a couple large online purchases this week before those cards arrive. Is there any way to get the cc numbers before they arrive.

Probably not. Though try calling to see if they can rush the card/s.
