Even if the phone rep said BofA's policy had changed in August 2015 to be soft pulls instead of hard pulls when re-allocating CLs?

First time applying for a credit card (except for a Gap CC), and I want to apply for Everyday from AMEX. Is it sinful to apply for one Amex card to begin with or should I be applying for 2-3 cards to start? If more than Everyday, which card(s)? Thanks in advanced :)
If you are trying to get my attention/assistance and I'm not responding, please feel free to PM me. :)

Once you're getting a pull, it doesn't hurt to try for a few more.

If you're only comfortable having one card at the moment then stick to 1. It's all 1 pull so do whatever's best for you.

That's a good point. There is something to be said about starting off slow. I started slow and I'm happy I did.

Thanks. Is there a decent chance I'll be approved for 2 cards if I barley have a credit history (except for the Gap CC)?

YMMV. If you want a second card then go for it as it'll be the same hard pull regardless.

Yes. I've seen 5 with only history from 1 card. Expect to be FR'd, though.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. Any ideas of a good Amex card to go together with the Everyday? (Something with good signup offer that's no annual fee or first year free that I can cancel after?)

Dan recently wrote about getting a Blue Amex business card together with the Everyday but I don't know if that's a good idea and I can't find post...

Don't want a FR. I'm single and only reporting my parents income so I don't know how a FR will work with me.

So PRG and Everyday? How do I make sure to get the 50k signup?

Not if he can't pass a F/R, and it's his first card.

BGR is more likely an FR risk than PRG ?

Incognito. Not through a referral link.

Or call the guys like goldmine etc. if you decide to trust them.

You'll see the offer before you apply.
So I think I'll go with the Everyday and PRG. Not sure what the benefits of PRG is over the Everyday? Seems like Everyday earns more points on my main shopping areas (groceries and gas).

I'm only seeing 25k signup offer. Am I missing something?
