Happened to me. Sister in Law's AU card, for which my FIL is the primary, ended up on my wife's CR. And names and addresses are different.

ETA: under the names section of the CR, it said my sister in laws name. Was odd.
That's odd. Although the address is the same as I'm sure your wife has her fathers address on her report and some other financial stuff from before she was married.
If you are trying to get my attention/assistance and I'm not responding, please feel free to PM me. :)

Huh? I lost you there. Who's name was it for, whose address, and who's name did it appear on? (Besides, one of the addresses on your wife's report was her father's house, and they are known by the CRAs to be associated.) Still weird that it ended up on a different persons report than the name was.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

I don't understand why can't they all be in your name?
It's also more legit looking when all dards are associated with a ssn and dob
Meaning I should have Amex add my name and DoB and SS for several AUs when it's the primary name on the account?
If you are trying to get my attention/assistance and I'm not responding, please feel free to PM me. :)

Just a matching old address, nothing else, but was still ridiculous. Not sure why a CB would attach an account with the first name "Sarah" to a CR who's owner's first name is "Rachel." (Made up names. Figured I'd give you some ideas for your AUs :P.)

That was fine when amex used to backdate. Then they stopped, and the AUs wreaked havoc with AAoA and 5/24.

It only showed up on one CB's CR (I believe EX). FIL called Chase and they contacted EX to have it removed. Was off within a day.

Wouldn't Amex think it's nuts to have the account owner also the AU for several cards? And it'll show up on my report like 20 times?

What are you guys saying about this becoming an issue when Amex stopped backdating?

It used to be that when you opened a new Amex card, the date of opening would be of when you got your first Amex ever. So if you got your first Amex card 6 yrs ago, if you opened a new account today, the new account would show up on your CR as being open since 2010. They stopped doing that, so every new AU account now brings down your AAoA.

not at all, just have a good reason to tell them why you need it other than amex offers, and you'll be good to go..

Some people (myself included) only got charged $65 if it was around the same time when the new price went into effect.

That was 6 months ago.

Go to Amex application status checker online and put in your social. You'll see how many apps went through.
