Don't think someone else using it has any impact.
I've gotten targeted offers within weeks of signing up. I'm sure it's YMMV though.
Ok, thanks, cant hurt to sell then:)
If you are trying to get my attention/assistance and I'm not responding, please feel free to PM me. :)

Where is the cheapest place to buy nordstrom gift cards? And is raise.com a good site for this?

Haven't been here in a while and haven't applied for any cards since June, so time for a new round. I have to refresh my memory of the sugya. Been reading a lot of these threads the past few days.
I want to get a CSP but the 5/24 rule is in my way and trying to figure out a work-around.
1) If I am an AU on someone else's Amex, is there a way to have that account not show on my report?
2) When did Amex start dating new accounts to the day they were opened and not to the date of your first account?
3) Do other AU's on my Amex accounts (other than myself) count towards the 5/24?
4) I closed my CSP in April 2015, so I assume I have no chance of getting the sign-up. DW never had one but was declined for it in June because of the (then new) 5/24 rule. Is it too soon to try again?
5) In general, with Chase if I closed the card more than 24 months ago, I'll get the sign-up. Correct?
6) I hope to lease our first car soon, is that a reason to hold off?

3)No
4)If you're approved you'll get the signup bonus.
5)Obviously, its 24 months after receiving signup bonus.

Yes. Call the CBs to have the AUs removed.

giftcardgranny is a good resource to help figure that out.

+1. Most reports are late March/early April time, iirc.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

That's what I was asking.  I thought it was 24 months from closing.  Are you saying that 24 months from opening?
iirc end of March
So is that what triggered the 5/24 rule, in the following months?

Thanks everyone for all your answers.

Is there a masterthread to learn about which Amex and citi bonuses I would be eligible for at the moment?

Neither, it's 24 months from receiving the bonus.

Is there such a thing as asking Amex for a new offer (like a spend bonus) to be put on a card that you already have?

By spend bonus you mean retention, right ?

No, just a new offer.
You could try asking if there's anything available for your account.

Are the chances slim of that happening?
