Shouldn't be a problem, unless it affected her credit score.

I am having a big spend on a hotel coming up - which card should I use to maximize the points? Is there a card that gives 2X/3X points on hotels?
It's a Shangri-La so non of the branded cards could work...

Thanks!

Differs issuer to issuer, and you can adjust birthday.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

That I know, but there are issuers that officially allow under 15?

OK so 15. Is there any reason for a 15 year old to be an AU?

There's no reason to add a minor as an AU except in the case of Amex, where it reports the open date as the date the AU was added.

If you add someone the month before they turn 18, the will inherit the exact same history as they would doing it years earlier.

IMO they are much more likely to be the victim of ID theft if there is a prime credit profile just sitting there unmonitored.

If you feel the need to add minors as an AU, which IMO is not worth it, freeze their credit reports.

If you add a minor as an AU to BofA,  then they can get the free museums entry :)
