he dosent reside at my address how likely is it to go on his CR?
let me put this was i definitely want it should go on that persons CR to help him build credit anyway to make sure it goes on his CR?

Do you only have a chase card? Amex is best.
+1 . Chase it will most likely build his credit report but amex and cap1 is a better option IME

What does that mean?
I thought that adding and AU to an Amex card that's been open for a while will extend that persons length of credit history and that's why everyone recommends it.

Nope . they don't do that . But adding them as AU will help their credit by giving the SSN

thats why I suspected but I wanted to know about other banks whether you can you get the bonus for both cc's for different businesses using same SSN?

somebody must know about other banks about this question?  It appears Amex will not give you a second bonus but what about other banks? Chase, Citi, barlcays etc... can you get a second bonus for same business card using a different business but same SSN as a sole prop

It can go on, but slim chance. Unless they link the au name to his credit file for some reason. It can happen.

Build due to credit utilization ratio and the fact that you have credit from today and on?
Or is there another factor?

I made a payment for AMEX card and the account I used did not have sufficient balance to cover it. I got an email telling me that from AMEX. However when I go online to make a payment it says 0 due and received the previous payment (that did not go through).

What is my best move here?

TIA

Does the checking account now have funds to cover? They're going to try pulling the money another 2 times

Get ready for a FR. That's what triggered mine with Amex,  thanks to UFB. When you use their BP, it shows the amount you have deposited which is different from the amount available. I immediately made a payment from another account but as Ari said they pulled the funds again.

I want to apply for the 2 Amex Hilton cards to take advantage of the increased offers. I currently have 3 Amex credit cards (not including charge cards). Do I need to cancel one of my credit cards before applying for both or can I just apply for both and if it gets declined I can call up and ask to close one in order to be within the 4 credit card limit?

Recent reports indicate Amex is now allowing 5 credit cards.

I have had success closing after applying.
