I hope someone can help this newbie.  I won't have 3,000 charges in 90 days to get large bonuses - unless anyone has ideas on that.  Looking for card that has high (1.5 to 2) cash back or miles that can be converted to cash, and no fex (for exch fee), and car rental cdw good in Israel (last is important).  Sort of need card soon - going to Israel in Jan.  I have just had problem in buying tkts on american website for foreign airline and got charged fex - happened to me with uia (paid 600 r/t) and to a friend on el al.  Most cash back cards seem to chg fex.

My brother just applied (today) for the Sapphire Reserve and Ink Cash. Instant approval on the CSR, pending on IC. He'd like to also get the Freedom Unlimited. We read online that Chase has a thing about how many cards you apply for within a set period online. Would it be unwise of him to apply right now for the Freedom Unlimited? He's also an AU on my Freedom card, but is still under 5/24 with the CSR and IC.

Thanks!
I recently did 4 cards in one day. So far so good.

If you have someone here that will allow you to prepay his Gas and Electric bills. and he will pay you back.
National Grid max $600, ConEd max $1500 in one payment for a fee of around $3 each.

Just to double check my understanding - the clock for sign up bonuses starts when you are approved, or when you activate the card? TIA

If my AMEX statement closes on today, and a charge is still pending, will it end up on the current statement, or the next one ?

Almost always, current one. Amex normally doesn't close a statement with charges still pending.

It depends. Restaurants in particular can take longer to switch from pending to posted.

I have a metabank prepaid card from rebates that I got from Kohls. The card came with a letter saying that I should I always swipe the card as credit.
Is there any way to set a pin for the card to buy MO ?

Is there a .com on the back of the card that you can go to?

I sent in a check to amex to pay off a cc bill on Thursday (third party check not sure if that makes a difference). I just realized I didn't make it out to amex it was left blank. What should I expect?
