Big difference between "less is more" and not doing something ever, which seemed to be your advice just a few minutes ago.
His point was to be careful, not to never do it.

That's not at all how his reply to you read.

In fact, he said it was a bad idea even when a part of the charge was made to the same card.

What I said is many FI's will not like it and shut you down.

I made that point before you did, so it's unclear what you're arguing.

I am not arguing anything. You are just interpreting what I said wrong.

How so? Unless you know for a fact that this guy has already done this previously on the same card(s), he'd be operating within your "less is more" principle.

Comment: "What if part of the purchase was charged to the card?"
JTZ: "Does not matter."

I don't see how I'm misinterpreting anything.

Because your view is different from this one.  ;)

That wasn't at all your point, as I just showed one comment above.

If it's a bad idea for this guy to do this once, when part of the charge was made to the card he planned to use, then it's unclear how it could be a good idea when none of the purchase was made to a card.

All you want to do is argue so have a nice day.  :)

Not at all. Why not spell out your point? I've asked you twice to clarify the exchange I quoted above.

Again, if it's a bad idea for this guy to do this once, when part of the charge was made to the card he planned to use (i.e., when he has a semi-plausible excuse), then it's unclear how it could be a good idea when none of the purchase was made to a card.

I was reviewing my credit report for my 5/24 status, and i don't see my Platinum card that I opened like a month ago. Are charge cards not reported? They don't count towards 5/24?

I got approved for 2 delta platinum business cards (by mistake) is there any chance to get the 70k bonus offer on both?
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

They're basically going to ask you if you cash checks or process money, and then wish you a good day. 90 second phone call.
