Does a cc statement closing with a negative balance effect your Credit score in any way?

Reports as $0 outstanding balance.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Whats a good card with a 0% intro APR and waived fee for balance transfer? I won't be eligible for Chase slate due to 5/24.

There really arent many $0/0% offers.  Banks aren't in the business of just loaning out money for free.

Banks:
Barclays
CapOne
Discover
Synchrony

Credit Unions:
DCU
PenFed
NFCU

Banks that might require a call but will pull alternate bureaus:
BofA
FNBO
US Bank

Banks that are state dependent:
Chase
Citi

You can try AMEX and any other bank.  If they can't get the bureau and won't budge without EX,  ask to have the application rescinded.

my wifes SSN now matches her married name. but I still got a cc approved with her old info. I mailed Experian to add it to her profile. now when I go online to Experian.com it shows her married name under "also known as", along with our current address. is it safer to apply for a cc under her old name, because that's the way the bureau has her initially? or should I apply under her new name? obviously this question pertains to trying to get auto-approved. TIA

If her name was legally changed,  then why would you apply for anything in her old name?  It would technically be fraud.

Because the banks still didn't recognize her new name as of 2 months ago. I guess it may be fraud technically. Not sure how exactly the name change works legally. All we did was get married

Your marriage license process should have given you an option for a legal name change (at least that's how it works in California).
