originally my app said spg biz, but now it shows dummy code. first time app
Do you also have a personal one? I don't know what it means (if anything.....) but I applied for a delta personal and business cards and the personal still shows normally but the business changed to dummy code.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

How can I get Amex to send me a new card with the same numbers as the old one? I lost the card and need to do a instore return and they only do it with card present. I called Amex they would only send another card with same #s if I gave them the 3 numbers on the back of the card which I don't  have. Any ideas?

Tell them your card got ruined.
ETA: that may not work either.

Won't work. They still need those 3 digits. For the future, its because of this reason that I take a pic of my cards when I get them

Has different exp dates and security code.
Don't know if that makes a difference.

I thought he meant he wants the same exp and security code!
 What does that mean?
Tell them you got locked out of your house and needed a card to open the door and only cc you had was my amex and used to open and managed to get in and to my disappointment I realized the whole card was all damaged, and erased more then half the Digits and mag-strip, seems to me the reason for not allowing the same card # is due to you loosing the card and now accessible to someone else and now more worried for them about fraudulent purchases, so should one say he has the card but damaged so most cases will be you can see the digits but you damaged the card, and you still have it in your possession.
My take would be with such a story to get another card, any chance the store would give you cash or refund on another card? ( I take not as to why your asking here?)

They need those 3 digits as a security measure. Lomdus won't help you. You can try, but its pretty much a lost cause

I thought myi is right that if fraud is not a concern they'll give a new card. Are you talking from experience?

Yes. I just ordered a new platinum card, to get the metal one, and was too lazy to find the card. The chat rep told me that without those 3 digits, they can not proceed

Same here. Personal looks fine and business is dummy code. I think it was like that from the start, didn't change to that.
But it's approved, so does it really matter? It does look strange, though.

I still have a pending on a spg biz. The dummy code is a tag disconcerting. That's it.

This whole Return issue - I think you can request replacement card online and the last 5 digits will be the same and the stores don't usually have more than the last five digits. If they still give trouble - use Amex Return Protection!
