Is it possible to do a product change from the delta classic card which has a $55 AF to the every day card?

I am having a lot of trouble justifying keeping my AMEX Premier Rewards Gold Card..I just got hit with a $195 annual fee. I already have SPG as well as Chase Preferred ($450 annual) =..i used to love my Amex Gold, but the devaluation of points and loss of airline partners, at least from what I am seeing, makes this card about equal to the free cards on the market.. I dont see points valued more the .01.   transfers are negative ratios to airlines, and if i buy a ticket w points its .01.  the premier card comes with $100 airlines misc. so, annual fee I will say is really $95. But why even pay $95 for this card when there are so many better cards out there.. Am i missing something? pls tell me a reason after 15 years why i SHOULD continue to keep this amex premier gold card..thanks!

Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Not sure what changed so much since last year that you don't k ow how to get value after 15 years of hopefully finding value, but if you're only getting 1 cpp, I'd switch to the everyday card, as it has no annual fee

I got a letter that one of my Chase credit card accounts are being closed due to inactivity. They wrote that I can continue to use it regularly until its expiration date. What are my chances of getting them to keep it open? I mainly need it open for the points on it. If there's a way for me to transfer the points then I don't really mind.

I'm not over 5/24, so, no. What good use is this card bringing me? It has no benefits, so what do I care? Unless someone suggests I transfer the credit line to, say, my reserve?

Transfer point and credit line to your reserve and then close.

Transfer point and credit line to your reserve and then close.
Do they allow transfer of both line and points?

You don't have to do them at the same time...

Do the points first, it's instant.

Thanks all!  :)

Or maybe it would be worthwhile getting them to keep it open, in case I run into 5/24 issues I can tell them to close this one instead?
