I have the CC for more than 2 years. wanted to know if there's a way do to it without closing this card and applying again.
Downgrade this one to a freedom and then apply for a new one.

It's a regular security code, if the merchant actually needs them, you need the right ones

Some retailers don't need it really, IINM they process payments differently.

I know this for a fact. Some only need card # and exp.

Weird that those retailers still ask for it, yet it goes through with a false one.

You hope?  If you wanted it to go through, you should have used the real one.

Of course now it could get flagged as fraud and AMEX will lock your accounts.  And then you can call in and get eyes on your account activity.

Generally, a cvv code is for security to prevent fraud (they want to make sure you really have the card) if u use the wrong cab code, sometimes (depending on who the purchase is from and for how much) it'll go thru anyways.. just watch ur acct and make sure everything stays in the clear

Will my credit score increase if I restart to use my first or earlier card that I rarely or ever used?

My last credit card statement printed with a $1 balance, but the automatic payment did not go through. Is there a minimum balance that needs to be on the credit card in order for the automatic payment to process?

Also, is a $1 a month enough to show activity on a credit card for an account that I don't use?
