Applied for an Amex card that I never had and got the pop up message that I’m not eligible for the bonus because I opened and closed to many cards. Is this a 100% thingy?? YMMV?

Try putting some heavy spend on your open amex cards it usually helps.

Seriously? They’ll approve me for same card and I’ll get double bonus? Sounds nuts and risky.

Also - does Amex do hard pull if I already have a business card with them?

If you have any Amex card you can refer yourself to any other type - even if you don't have it.

These credit tracking websites (similar to creditkarma) tend to be a little delayed when sharing changes on your credit report so it may be a card thats not that new. Just look over your credit report to make sure everything checks out.

Chase changed their name. It went from "chase card" to "jpmcb". This is triggering email from CK and the like that there was a product change or the likes.

Crazy. People are disputing accounts, putting on fraud alert because of lack of clarity. Should be some sort of PSA.

Didn't think it was that big a deal. Firstly, I realized right away that jpmcb is JP Morgan chase Bank. Second, if you look at CK, and I'd assume any credit monitoring service, it says "chase card changed to jpmcb". Kinda self explanatory. A PSA still couldn't have hurt.

Not really a hard limit, but tread carefully. 2bis probably where I'd put the max.

You and I see JPM as JP Morgan, to some it's just random letters. Additionally by some people CK didn't say it changed, just said a new card reported.

I hear you. Regardless, with the amount of junk mail they send, when it could've been helpful for a change, they skip it.

You don't get notifications on the app? I unsubscribed from all emails from them  - the important information comes via notification from the app
