what would be a good credit card to open/have for amazon prime day, based on recent years, I don't want to miss out on any "sizzling" smoking hot deals this year, maybe @Dan can write a article on this. Thanks!

You might want to have 1 of each type of points cc's (citi, chase, amex, discover) that often have % off deals with one point and use each one at least once before so you have a couple of points to use.

Would the freedom unlimited also work?

It would work for using the points for the discount, but he meant because freedom's category for july-sept is Amazon, so you get 5 pts per dollar instead of just 1.5 from the unlimited.

Why not get a card that has no annual fee, then it's no bother to keep it.

Is there any thread discussing the advantages of Amex Corporate cards? I have a friend who got an invitation to apply for it. Something I remember that it doesn't have some of the options / benefits that the regular Plat has. Can someone enlighten me?

Its not simple that you'll for sure be building his credit adding him as an AU on Chase. Amex is more probable. CMIIW.
Both Amex and Chase are not that best choices. Chase will not always report the account on the AU credit report (only if they find a connection between you and the AU in their internal system). Amex does not backdate. Use rather cards like Discover, Barclays, Citi or others

Closing a credit card does not destroy credit. It will not help you build credit but it's not a negative to credit either. But please note anytime you open a new account your credit will be affected by the new tradeline for up to six months

I'm looking for a business card for regular everyday transactions. Anything that currently has an exciting SUB?

Get the Blue business from amex. There technically is no SUB but if you get referred from someone you can get 10k or more depending on the referral.

Iím thinking of applying for a American Airlines business card. Which product is a better card to apply for, citi business American Airlines or Barclay business American Airlines card?
Also do any of them affect the 5/24 chase rule (show on the personal credit report as a new account)?

why not both?

I don't believe either is reported, but will let more experienced users answer.

fwiw I believe the Barclays is a lot harder to get approved on but has a vastly better SUB.
