you can upgrade with no hard pull even past 5/24, they would charge you your annual fee but you'll get refunded when you downgrade back to the csp. You can transfer all your points to your Sapphire card to redeem it for 1.5 . Just make sure to use the $300 annual credit before you downgrade back.
Personally I'm not telling you they won't flag your account, so it might be worth it for you to keep it open for 2 months before downgrading back...

thanks.
i wouldnt be able to upgrade from the csp, bec that was just opened 2 months ago and I believe it cant be upgraded in yr 1. i would need to upgrade and then downgrade from the cfu. would that be possible?

has there been any dp of ppl upgrading and then a few months later downgrading and getting the annual fee prorated? even though u used up the benefits the card offers?

:(

so it looks like my 2 best options for cards with Return Protection and no FX fee remain the Amex Platinum and the Sapphire Reserve. As I mentioned I don't mind the Annual Fee, can anyone recommend one of them over the other??

For which reasons?
Amex is much easier to deal with.
Always use an Amex, you'll thank me one day.

Indeed. As well as better overall benefits IMO (obviously subject to your specific case). As your asking in regards to return protection, I'd go for the amex (perhaps also consider the amex blue cash preferred)

If you would be able to elaborate on the better benefits, I would be very grateful.

I only need it for occasional purchases (meeting spend target not a problem as some big expenses coming up) but as I am not in the US currently the return protection is important - it comes in very handy. Travel credit could also always be used.

What is my best option for downgrading a Barclays Arrival+ to a $0 annual fee card? I prefer to not just shut it down, thus lowering my credit ratio..... but don't find enough value in it.

Then perhaps the blue cash preferred is for you. You can read some DDMS posts about the details on benefits, it doesn't seem like you'll have much use / benefit from either of them.

I got an upgrade offer on my Amex everyday card to upgrade to Everyday Preferred for 40k points. Two questions.

1) I had a preferred card in the past am I going to get the points?

2) Will this incur a hard pull?

TIA

I have the 2 southwest business cards. Is it worth keeping them open with the 199+99 fee?

Is it worth it to pay 3% charge on $25,000 to receive points? Or makes more sense to pay cash?
If yes, which card makes the most sense? It’s 5 payments of $5,000 each

Do you have any spends to make?

if your credit card applications are throttled by the amount of spend you can manage, then it is absolutely worth it.

but if you have enough spend for your credit card applications, and this would just be extra, then there's hardly an opportunity to earn 3% back on every day spent ( never mind coming out ahead)

Depends on your use case, probably not if your not taking advantage of the perks.
