I believe Crapital One points are always maxed at 1cpp

It credit utilization based on the card that is being utilized or the persons total credit limit?

For instance, if I have a total credit limit of $100k between all my cards, is it a problem to max out a singe card with a $1000? Will that be considered 1% or 100% utilization?

I think it's both, it goes per card & across all of them.

+1 So rather spread it out across a few cards, or if its a Business card that its not a problem.

Kind of... there is a way to edit the code of the website to change the automatic info that gets put into the application. Last I spoke to people, they were able to change some of the info (maybe it was the name) but not other parts (the SSN). Don't remember which data they were/weren't able to change, but if you know computers at all perhaps you can figure it out.

Only the name comes up prefilled.
No address, no ssn, etc.
Though I can put in "name on card" the question if they would accept an app where the name of card is different then the app name?

Although as far as I know "AFAIK" has nothing to do with being a noob.  :)

When do bonus points usually post? I was helping out a friend who was planning to book a stay at the new resort Hyatt Baha-Mar and so he applied for Ink and has been accruing UR points. The resort is going up a category though in January. He just hit the $5K spend today and his next statement is after the category increase. Is there anything he can do to get the bonus points prior to the increase? Can he try to move his statement up?

You can move up the statement closing date to get the UR faster. However, make sure the points are showing up in the "Earning on next statement" section (go to the UR page and you will see it there) before you change the statement date, otherwise you will have to wait until the next statement to get them.
