There was a link to a list of all banks and what kind of pulls they do. It was posted about 2 weeks ago, will see if I can find it and post it.
GIYF. DoC has a list, as do others.
ETA: i see you found it.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Not sure if this is the right thread.
I recently got a Delta card and an SPG card. Both first payments hit over Sukkos before I had set up an autopay (mussar haskel on procrastinating, I know), so I got hit with late fee/interest. My question is whether I can ask each card for a one-time courtesy or will they see that I have the same issue on two separate AMEX cards. I succeeded today in getting the Delta fees waived, and was wondering if I should: a)rush to call SPG before the refund posts, or b)if they'll know I called Delta anyway, or c)they won't know I called Delta anyway.
Thoughts?
THanks.

IMO they won't necessarily see you got on the other card. When you give your 15 digit cc# they open that account.

When Amex writes "closing date Oct 21" is that the last day of the bill or the 1st day on the new bill?

So your question is if using an AU's cc works for Spending threshold.
The answer is yes.

Use square or Amazon local register and Amex Serve card to meet spending thresholds. Cheaper than eBay commission on sales I think.

Be careful with square if its the same address they will freeze your account (not fun trying to make your funds accessible) and/or ban you

EBay charges 10% on sales, plus you pay PayPal a 2.9%+$0.30 a transaction. That's about the worst MS rate i can think of. You can just send your friend the money via Paypal (for almost the same rate as square, if you're not using the free processing), and save 10% (although 2.9% is pretty expensive for MS).

To meet a spending threshold:
It doesn't have to be done on the 1st day.
Keep your eyes open for every large cc opportunity.
If you're approaching the deadline buy Visa (or MC) Gift Cards.  The largest you can find. (Usually $500 in supermarkets) Even though you're not getting bonus spending points, you're getting your bonus so it's worth the fees.  Then use the cards over time instead of cc's.

(In NY, National Grid allows a $600 payment for only $2.50. I've been known to prepay my winter heating bill in early fall.)
My favorite cause: cssy.org

Go to PayPal, send money, and select credit card as source.
