I did but they told me that they only file claims over the phone and to get an answer to my question, I need to email them. Did that and waiting for a response. Will report back.
Just got an email back from Chubb. This was part of their response:
"Federal Insurance Company is unable to provide prospective or hypothetical coverage determinations. Coverage being provided due to terrorism would depend on the circumstances of the event. Whether or to what extent a particular loss is covered depends on the facts and circumstances of the loss as evaluated by a licensed claims adjuster. All relevant circumstances and information will be reviewed at the time of submission of a loss in order to make a determination whether or to what extent there is coverage. I have included a summary of the terms and conditions of coverage and a link to the complete T&Cs. Please use this as a reference."
Then they just copied and pasted the T&Cs. Smart on their part for not giving me an answer, annoying for me. The line in the T&Cs that talks about terrorism is "• A terrorist action or hijacking." Seems like there's a lot of wiggle room for them. Don't think it's worth the risk and have to fight with them after.
